I’m not sure where that quote originated, but I can attest that it’s true. I spent Sunday afternoon organizing my work space and I feel so much more focused.
I finally made time to sort through the print pieces and ephemera I picked up earlier this year while I was in Germany for Heimtextil. Finding obscure foreign magazines and other graphic souvenirs is always on my To Do List when I’m travelling internationally. These playful KFF print ads are an instant pick-me-up.
I also hung tons of photos from this year’s Bronner Brother’s International Beauty show on the mood board over my desk. A hair show may seem like an unlikely source of inspiration for a graphic designer, but the creativity channeled into the looks at this event is always epic.
And while we’re on the subject of hair, I fell into a rabbit hole of links clicking through the glitter hair trend that is sweeping across social media. I can’t believe how many people are actually embracing this trend. I wonder how they clean up all that glitter!
Clicking through links inevitably leads to Pinterest – and that’s exactly how it went down. It took me awhile to jump on the Pinterest bandwagon, but now that I’m on board I can’t stop pinning! Check it out
