MONDAY MOTIVATION: 4.10.17
It’s Monday!
It’s also that time of year when pastel colors start popping up everywhere and everything seems to burst into bloom. Yeah, it’s definitely Spring. This is also the time of year for taking stock, tidying up and moving forward with new momentum. Here’s the thing though – if you’re not bold enough to make those moves, you will remain stagnant and you miss opportunities to grow and flourish.
GOOD STUFF: 4.7.17
It’s Friday! How are y’all feeling?
I had a great week; it was challenging, eye-opening and inspiring. This weekend I am looking forward to finally diving into some projects that I’ve had simmering on the back burner for way too long.
I’m usually not the type to post photos of my food, but these empanadas were so good that they absolutely need to be documented. I picked them up when I was attending the San Francisco Renegade Craft Fair (I’ll be posting a video soon).
TOYIN OJIH ODUTOLA: A MATTER OF FACT
A few weeks ago the stars aligned: it was a sunny afternoon, my meetings for the day wrapped up early and I was in San Francisco (SOMA) with a few hours to spare and I was only two blocks away from the Museum of the African Diaspora.
It was the perfect occasion to finally check out an exhibit I’ve been wanting to see for months: A Matter of Fact by Toyin Ojih Odutola which was on display October 26, 2017 – April 2, 2017.
MONDAY MOTIVATION: 4.3.17
The weather in San Francisco was absolutely gorgeous this past weekend! It was sunny and warm, the flowers were in bloom and there was a perfect ocean breeze. Over the weekend I also had the chance to chat with some incredible creative entrepreneurs. As they discussed their long and difficult journeys to “overnight success”; I realized that success and sunny days have a lot in common.
