This week has been busy…in the best way possible. I had a tight deadline to turn around a major project that was slightly out of my comfort zone. It was the kind of opportunity that, despite being a little “scary”, is a huge opportunity for growth and a great beginning to a new chapter in my career. I’m excited! But I can’t spill the beans just yet.
I spent some time doing “analog” work this week – it felt good to work on things that didn’t require me to be glued to a computer screen. Part of that time was spent researching book covers. I am a sucker for clean photography and quirky fonts.
I am also gathered ideas for page layouts. Pharrell: Places and Spaces I’ve Been is one of my favorite coffee table books. It’s a visual mashup of some of his favorite artistic pursuits – music, fashion, street art and design. All that’s missing is a chapter on his skin care regimen. Pharrell does not age…not one bit!
I’ve had this pretty little treat sitting on my desk all week. I’m saving it for my Friday afternoon snack. The only thing better than a chocolate bar is a chocolate bar wrapped in your favorite color – I’m digging the chunky font too.
In keeping with this week’s theme of “analog art”, I plan to pull out a canvas and some brushes this weekend. It’s been awhile since I’ve painted, it will be fun to see what I can create.
Those are some of the highlights from my week – tell me about some of the “Good Stuff” that happened during your week.
