GOOD STUFF: ON OUR SLEEVES
Y’all this last year has been rough! As things finally seem to be going back to “normal”, I can look back and really appreciate some of the people and things that got me through that difficult stretch. Beading was one thing that gave me an “escape” and bought me a lot...
CELEBRATING BLACK HISTORY MONTH WITH JOANN
After the way 2020 went down, I was hesitant to make New Years resolutions for 2021. However, one thing I WON’T be doing this year is hoarding fabric I love and saving it for “one day”. Those days usually never come and life is too short to not enjoy beautiful things...

It’s Monday!
Is it just me, or does it feel like an “ultra-official” new week when the first of a month falls on a Monday? We’re having a beautiful stretch of weather in San Francisco and on top of that EVERYTHING is in bloom. It’s gorgeous! (but admittedly not great for allergy sufferers).

It’s Friday! How are y’all feeling?
I had a late night yesterday so things are going a little slow today, but I am feeling great! Yesterday evening I went to the Anthony Hamilton concert and the show was amazing; I am still feeling the energy today. Anthony Hamilton has an incredible voice and an incomparable stage presence. When you pair his musical gift with the talent of The Hamiltones you end up with and outstanding show. It was amazing and, by far, the highlight of my week.

It’s Monday!
I can’t believe that it’s already the last week of April. Every year at this time (like clock work) my wanderlust kicks into high gear. I love traveling, experiencing new cultures and learning new languages. As a creative professional there is nothing more inspiring than having the opportunity to see things from a new perspective; travel provides the ideal opportunity to do precisely that.

It’s Friday! How are y’all feeling?
Overall, I’ve had a busy (but fun) week. I had quite a few late nights at my desk, I did lots of client calls and submitted a couple proposals for new projects that will push me slightly out of my comfort zone.
Hearing that Barkely Hendricks passed but a damper on the earlier part of my week. I love his work – it looks the way Marvin Gaye’s “I Want You” album sounds.
TONY’S CHOCOLONELY
Chocolate, bold packaging and the color green are three of my favorite things. A few weeks ago, a friend gave me a gift that featured all three of those things – a TONY’s Chocolonely almond sea salt candy bar. I let it sit on my desk for a week or so (because I enjoyed looking at the colorful label), and when I finally opened it I was blown away. It was so good!
TONY’s Chocolonely isn’t only about good packaging and great chocolate; they are truly committed to making the world a better place.

It’s Monday!
Yesterday I saw The Statue of Liberty at Starbucks and today I saw Uncle Sam waiting at the bus stop. When you start seeing American symbols waving at you while holding signs pointing to accounting offices, it can only mean one thing. It’s tax time.
Stressful times like tax time (and taxing times in general) are a true test of character that bring our true colors to light. This is definitely the case for me because I have one of those expressive faces that leaves little doubt about what I’m thinking.

It’s Friday! How are y’all feeling?
I just wrapped up a big project and handled a bunch of administrative tasks that I’ve been putting off for the last few days. Best feeling ever! I carved out some time this afternoon to dye Easter eggs and catch up on a few of my favorite podcasts. I’m also scrolling through Instagram and checking out all the boho vibes from Coachella that are popping up on my feed.
SF RENEGADE CRAFT FAIR: APRIL 2017
San Francisco is such an inspiring city; there are always plenty of interesting things to see and do. I recently spent a sunny afternoon at the Renegade Craft Fair checking out some beautifully creative handmade goods. The Renegade Craft Fair is the world’s largest curated craft and design show. The fair travels to more than 24 cities across the United States and the United Kingdom. Tag along with me at the San Francisco fair…
