It’s Monday!

Since it’s the first Monday of Black History month, I thought it would be fitting to create an inspiration board that includes some of the African-Americans that have made the biggest impact on who I am as an artist. I’ve included their names below in case you see an unfamiliar face and would like to learn more.

I feel fortunate that I grew up in a household where Black History was an all-year thing…my parents went to great lengths to make sure that my brothers and I were able to “see ourselves” in people we look up to as role models or sources of inspiration.

This week in addition to reflecting on Black History, I will be reaching out to a few current Black History-makers and posting some cool interviews during the next few weeks.

What’s your plan for the week?

Monday Motivation is a quick mood board that I make to kick-start my work week. You can check out what “motivated” me in past weeks here.
